INTRODUCTION
Creating The Space
For Stories To Emerge
For over a decade, I’ve worked as a London-based documentary filmmaker and self-shooting director, creating human-centred films for global brands, agencies, charities and organisations across the UK and internationally. Every project begins by understanding the people, purpose and story before deciding how the camera should serve them. Working this way keeps production compact and adaptable, while ensuring every creative decision remains shaped by what makes the story worth telling.
Much of my work involves people who are not accustomed to being on camera. By listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions and keeping the filming environment calm, I help contributors feel comfortable enough to speak in their own words. From branded documentaries and charity films to people-led corporate storytelling, I bring experienced direction, strong visual storytelling and a dependable presence from the first conversation through every stage of production and post-production.

AWARD WINNING FILMMAKERBritish Silver Arrow Award
for Erum’s Story
I’m honoured that Erum’s Story—a film I directed, filmed and edited for Volkswagen’s YourWagen campaign—was recognised with a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards in the Automotive category.
This project meant a great deal to me. Working as a self-shooting director allowed me to keep the production footprint small and create a calm, focused environment in which Erum could share her experience naturally. Directing, filming and editing the piece also gave me a close understanding of her story throughout the entire process—from the conversation on location to shaping the final film.
It reminded me why I’m drawn to documentary-led work: listening carefully, finding the human thread within someone’s experience and giving it the space to resonate without feeling overly directed or performed.

If you’re developing a documentary-led film, looking for an experienced self-shooting director or simply want to explore an idea, I’d be glad to hear from you.
FEATURE LENGTH EXPERIENCECount Me In
Feature-Length Documentary
Count Me In celebrates the spirit of drumming and the people who dedicate their lives to rhythm. The film follows a cast of drummers as they reflect on their journeys — from childhood beginnings to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages — and on the musicians who influenced them along the way.
I worked on the documentary as the main DOP of the UK production team, contributing to the film’s interview-led, story-driven approach. Projects like this strongly reflect the style of work I’m drawn to: real people, open conversations, and stories shaped through lived experience.
